Kuwait has detected EG.5, a new Covid variant, as per an announcement by the Ministry of Health.
According to a report by state news agency KUNA, which cited a health official, this discovery was expected and should not raise concerns, given its prevalence in approximately 50 nations.
The ministry’s statement further highlighted that the nation’s health statistics demonstrate a consistent situation.
The ministry also encouraged the public to follow preventive measures like mask-wearing, maintaining physical distance, and receiving vaccinations.
