Welcare Clinics in Dubai have announced they are to offer free health screenings for the public to mark World Health Day on April 7.
According to EHL Management Services, which owns Welcare Clinics across the emirate, the free health checks will include blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index (BMI) tests, designed to provide a general indication of an individual’s overall health.
The tests will be available on a first-come first-serve basis at Welcare Ambulatory Care Centre, Welcare Clinic Mirdif, Welcare Clinic Qusais and Emirates Diagnostic Clinic from 9am until 2pm, EHL said.
“Each year, World Health Day seeks to raise awareness about living a healthy life and it encourages individuals across the globe to take charge of their personal health and wellbeing,” said Dr. Lisa Pinto, group manager, Clinics.
“By offering these quick, efficient and potentially life-altering tests to people across our local community, we are not only bringing attention to the work of the World Health Organisation and the aims of World Health Day, but we are helping to make our community to chose healthier, happier and more productive lives.”
