Winter in the UAE has officially began according to the latest forecast from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Temperatures are expected to drop significantly from Sunday, with the minimum temperature averaging between 13°C-16°C in the interior, 16°C-20°C along the coast.
It is forecast to be the coldest over the mountain regions, including Jebel Jais, with temperatures set to plummet to between 5°C-8°C.

According to a report from the NCM, the lowest temperature recorded over the country on Sunday morning was 6.1°C in Raknah at 7am.
Meanwhile, motorists are being warned to be extra vigilant, with high chances of fog over the coming days and limited visibility in some instances.
Showers of rain have also been forecast on Monday and Wednesday over some coastal and western areas of the country.
