Dragon Mart, the world’s largest Chinese trading hub outside China, will see in the Year of the Goat with a host of live performances and events that reflect traditional Chinese culture, arts and entertainment. Celebrations begin on Thursday, February 19.
Attractions include a giant dragon that will dance its way through the 1.2 km long mall at various times during the celebrations, as well as performances by the Shaolin Kung Fu masters, stilt-walking acts, Chinese music and dance shows and traditional arts and craft workshops for children.
“Dragon Mart is home to a huge Chinese community, with over 3,000 shops run by 1,700 Chinese retailers,” said Omar Khoory, director of Nakheel Retail.
“The Dragon Mart team has put together an exciting range of attractions and events to see in the Year of the Goat. Dragon Mart already welcomes 65,000 shoppers each day, and we are gearing up for even more visitors throughout our New Year celebrations.”
