ICO launches AED3mn initiative to help UAE residency violators

This programme aligns with the broader campaign initiated by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (UAEICP) to waive fines for those who have violated entry and residency regulations

UAE residency violators

The International Charity Organisation (ICO) has launched a new initiative called ‘Correction of the Status of Violators’ in support of a national campaign to exempt individuals from residency fines.

The initiative, backed by AED3 million in funding, aims to assist 600 applicants in its first phase.

This programme aligns with the broader campaign initiated by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (UAEICP) to waive fines for those who have violated entry and residency regulations.

According to a statement by WAM, Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the (ICO), explained that supporting national campaigns falls within the approach of the ICO, including this blessed campaign, which exempts individuals from residency fines and gives them the opportunity to amend their status.

The ICO will oversee the application process, ensuring that those who meet the required conditions can receive assistance in completing the procedures for issuing their residencies.
