Saudi television channel Rotana is offering a SR55,000 ($16,655) reward for information on a group of men filmed beating up foreign workers, according to Arab News.
In one of the videos a man dressed in Saudi national clothing can be seen hitting a man dressed in an orange jumpsuit, reportedly of Bangladeshi origin.
The Saudi reportedly hit out after seeing the worker talking to his wife.
The video and two others were recently made public on social media accounts.
Announcing the reward during the popular Ya Hala TV show on the Rotana Khalijia network, Ali Al Olayani said the abusers must be held to account.
“We need reliable evidence and clues about the men who were filmed violating workers of different nationalities,” Al Olayani said.
“This initiative was aired on the show with an initial reward of SR25,000. Abdullah Al Alami, a human rights activist, called in and donated another SR25,000 for the cause. We received another call from Abdullah Al Osaimi, a lawyer, offering SR5,000, bringing the total prize money to SR55,000.
“This amount will be distributed among those who will provide us with clues about the offenders.”
