A UAE court has sentenced a man to 10 years in jail for passing sensitive military and security information to foreign intelligence agents, state news agency WAM reported on Wednesday.
The Federal Appeals Court sentenced the man, described only as SM, a national of an Asian country, for passing on the information about a critical facility in Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi.
The court also ordered the man to pay all expenses of the trial. He will be deported after completing the jail term, WAM said.
The court also ordered the confiscation of all devices used in the crime.
Two other Asians were cleared from a charge of taking photographs in restricted areas.
