Yemen and Kuwait ink $4.5bn tourism deals

Yemen investment agency and Kuwait’s Ewa’a and Investor sign deal to build resorts.

Yemen’s state investment agency and two Kuwaiti companies are to sign to sign license agreements in the tourism sector worth $4.5 billion, state news agency Saba said on Sunday.

Kuwait’s Ewa’a and Investor would establish tourism cities and resorts on the Red Sea as part of the agreement with the General Authority for Invesment (GAI), Saba said, quoting state-run almotamar.net.

The agreements are due to be signed on Monday at the Movenpick Hotel in the capital Sana’a.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Yemen, Salim Gasab, will attend the signing ceremony with several Yemeni ministers.
