The second collaboration between Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Señorita, has been named Spotify’s most-streamed song of the summer in the UAE.
With more than 565 million streams since its June release, the hit track has also sat atop Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart for eight straight weeks.
The second most popular song in the UAE, according to the music streaming service, belonged to breakout rapper-singer Lil Nas X, with a remix of Old Town Road featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.
Lil Nas X’s follow-up single Panini also featured on the UAE top 20 summer songs list.
UAE listeners also favoured another collaboration during the region’s warmer months – Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s I Don’t Care was ranked the third most-streamed song this summer.
Another favorite summer hit bursting with local flavor was Al Mafrood by Iraqi hitmaker Aseel Hameem which secured a place in the top 10 of the UAE’s most streamed songs of the summer .
The multi-talented Billie Eilish’s pop-trap hit, Bad Guy was named the UAE’s fourth best summer hit, while rapper Lil Tecca’s track Ransom shot to the top five.
The 16-year-old New Yorker continues his accelerated rise to stardom and has seen his audience grow from 12 million monthly listeners to more than 19 million on Spotify.
