Dubai’s Sport360 newspaper will stop publishing in print and move entirely online on December 31, founder Michael Chalhoub has announced.
In a letter sent to readers, Chalhoub said that the sports publication is “excited to move into the next Sport360 stage, refocusing our teams and our goals to deliver to you the fully digital content you asked for.
“We took our time with this decision because print was our first love, the first experience we shared with you and I can admit I am myself a self-confessed print addict,” he said.
The final paper will come out on December 31, 2019.
“This has been nothing short of a spectacular adventure and I am grateful for every paper that you held, and humbled by your overwhelming support throughout the years,” Chalhoub added.
Following the last print publication of the newspaper, Sport360 will transform into ‘Sport360, which Chalhoub described as “an incredible way to experience the content you love through our websites, social media and apps.
“Join us too in our new venture where we will start advertising athletes, brands and clubs on their communication strategies,” he added.
Additionally, Sport360 will partner with Innovate360, and will hold events through Events360, “where we join hands and work together in so many different and creative ways.”

Sport360’s website and its social media platforms are some of the fastest growing among news outlets in the Middle East.
According to a 2018 study from Effective Measure, Sport360 was the third most visited sports website in the UAE, behind ESPNcricinfo and the Arabic-language Kooora.com.
