Kris Fade and Mona Kattan are using their Netflix show Dubai Bling to launch a new dating App, Arabian Business can reveal.

The second season of the Dubai-based reality show, which claims to focus on the lives of ten “millionaires”, will see the pair go into business together.

A Netflix source said: “It is the big reveal in season 2. Mona is a hugely successful businesswoman but always associated with her sister Huda and Huda Beauty, so this is a chance for her to shine on her own.”

It is not known which market the App will be targeted towards, although the pair are understood to team up in a “proper business partnership.”

The plan to launch a dating App is likely to be controversial – coming just weeks after Saudi social media star Amy Roko was dropped from the show before filming started, after refusing to take part in a “dating story line.”

Kattan is the only new cast member in season 2 of the show, after Roko was dropped. Filming for the second season is currently underway across Dubai, though no release date has been given.

“It’s all about ratings, so yes, going down the dating road maybe controversial, but there is also a solid business angle to the story,” the Netflix source said.
