Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), the academic wing of Maya Entertainment Ltd (MEL), one of India’s major 3D animation and visual effects training centres, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Al Khawarizmi International College of Abu Dhabi.
The MOU was signed by Rajesh Turakhia, CEO of MEL and Naeem Radi, CEO of Al Khawarizmi International College of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
According to the MOU, MAAC will hold 3D film animation and advanced graphics training courses at the college. The college currently has a well equipped lab that has been designed to cater to such a course.
“Animation is becoming a lucrative profession for youngsters,” says Turakhia. “At MAAC, students will have the opportunity to work on live projects for film and TV supported with seminars by industry professionals and innovative workshops organised from time to time.”
