STARZPLAY has been ranked the most positively received streaming service in the Middle East and North Africa, according to the MENA Streaming Services Flash Report 2025 released by DataEQ.

The independent analysis reviewed more than 109,000 public online conversations across 17 countries, assessing consumer perceptions of leading regional and international platforms.

The report found that STARZPLAY achieved a Net Sentiment score of +22 per cent, the highest among all streaming services evaluated. The study measured user sentiment across several key categories, including content quality, platform reliability, sports coverage, marketing activity and payment experience.

STARZPLAY’s strong performance was attributed to its consistent investment in locally relevant content and technology innovation. As a homegrown MENA brand, the platform’s ability to cater to regional tastes and preferences helped drive higher satisfaction levels than its global competitors.

“This recognition is a testament to our continued focus on delivering value to our subscribers through world-class streaming quality, culturally relevant entertainment and a user-friendly experience,” said Maaz Sheikh, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of STARZPLAY.

“As a brand built for regional audiences, we take pride in offering stories, sports and experiences that reflect the diversity and aspirations of the region.”

Viewers praised STARZPLAY for its Arabic originals, diverse international library and reliable live-streaming performance, particularly during major sporting events. The report highlighted that Turkish and Arabic dramas were major contributors to positive audience engagement, reflecting strong demand for culturally resonant storytelling.

STARZPLAY’s coverage of key sports properties such as the UFC, Serie A and ICC Cricket has further cemented its reputation for dependable live-streaming quality. The company has also continued to enhance its platform through AI-driven personalisation, improved content discovery and user experience design.

Operating in 20 countries, STARZPLAY has expanded its footprint through exclusive sports rights, regional productions and international partnerships. DataEQ’s findings position the platform as one of MENA’s most trusted and influential streaming services in an increasingly competitive and fast-growing market.
