The highly anticipated Barbie movie has been delayed for release in UAE cinemas. The movie was initially set to release in July and has now been postponed to August 31.
Last week, VOX Cinemas posted about the movie release on social media scheduled for release on July 20 saying, “Get ready to see #MargotRobbie bring #Barbie to the big screen at #VOXCinemas on 20 July!”
However, according to new information available on the VOX Cinemas website, the release date has been altered to August 31, 2023.
The reasons for the delay have not yet been revealed.
The movie was earlier banned in Vietnam due to a feature over a map of the South China Sea, according to several reports, the Philippines is also considering banning the Warner Bros. film for the same reason.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Airbnb is hosting stays for Barbie fans at a newly renovated Malibu DreamHouse which features signature pink touches throughout the home and was redesigned to feature Ken’s personal style and interests.
