UAE developer Arada expands operations to Australia to address housing shortage

Arada plans multiple residential and mixed-use projects in Sydney, the most populous city in Australia. The initial portfolio is valued at AED 6 billion and aims to address the housing shortage.

Sales and construction for the first developments will start in 2025. They will deliver over 2,500 homes to the Sydney market alongside commercial and retail space. This will provide significant job opportunities.

Our initial projects in Sydney are strategically located within growth corridors, aligning with local government initiatives to expand housing near transport hubs and minimising strain on existing infrastructure.

“With a strong financial position, an impressive track record and a dedicated local team, we are poised to make a positive impact on our future residents and the communities we serve,” Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said.

In Australia, Arada will offer diverse housing options with innovative amenities and regular activations. Developments will feature green spaces, retail and the Wellfit health facilities.

Woods Bagot, a globally renowned architecture firm, will design the developer’s vision for the Australian market.

Since 2017, Arada launched six projects in Sharjah and Dubai with combined sales of AED 60 billion. This includes Aljada megaproject in Sharjah and Armani Beach Residences on Palm Jumeirah.

In 2023, the company announced property sold increased 100 percent year-on-year to AED 7.02 billion. Total sales since inception are over AED 17 billion, with 9,000 units completed of 14,000 units sold.
