Finnish burger chain plans UAE food manufacturing hub

Hesburger sets up fast food manufacturing subsidiary, Hes Pro Foods, in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone

Finnish burger chain plans UAE food manufacturing hub

Hesburger, the largest fast food chain in Finland and the Baltic countries, has announced the establishment of its fast food manufacturing subsidiary, Hes Pro Foods, in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).

Hes Pro Foods will produce mayonnaise and other products, which will be distributed to Hesburger outlets scattered throughout the Gulf from RAKEZ’s Al Hamra Industrial Zone, the company said in a statement.

Anton Gladkih, general manager of Hes Pro Foods, said: “Right now, we have several Hesburger franchisees across GCC and we are planning to continue our expansion in the region.

"To support this mission and to maintain the quality of food we serve to our franchisees, we have decided to establish a manufacturing base for our mayonnaise and other sauces – which are Hesburger’s key ingredients made from secret recipes."

Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, added: “We are glad that such a renowned F&B industry player chose to establish its regional manufacturing arm with us, which will be producing the fast food chain’s secrets to success. Hes Pro Foods is a great addition to our bustling community of over 600 manufacturers operating at our industrial zones.”
