Recommend will send a personalised notification to customers every month and suggest the best possible mobile plan
Virgin Mobile, the recently launched mobile brand of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has announced the launch of Recommend, a new innovation that helps customers get more value from their mobile plans.
Designed to help customers set the most efficient plan for their mobile needs, Recommend will send a personalised notification to customers every month and suggest a move up or down to the best possible mobile plan.
A few days before they are due to renew their plan, every customer will receive a recommendation from Virgin Mobile on the ideal level of data, local calls, SMS and international calls they could take based on their current, real-time usage.
Karim Benkirane, managing director, Virgin Mobile UAE, said: “Virgin Mobile is all about providing a superior customer experience and delivering the best possible value to our users, it’s in our brand DNA. Our ‘Recommend’ feature analyses customers’ mobile behaviour and provides them with a recommendation each month based on their actual usage.
"So, if you’re not using up all of your monthly minutes or data we’ll recommend that you take a lower plan next month and help you to save some money. On the other hand, if you are constantly adding boosters or using pay as you go, we’ll recommend that you take a higher plan, which will end up costing you less.”
Launched in September, Virgin Mobile is the region’s first fully digital mobile service. Completely app based, customers can port their mobile number without visiting a store, track their data and minute usage in real time, search and choose their favourite mobile number, and set up monthly spend limits.
The pay monthly subscription-based model means that there is no need for a contract.
