Amazon is launching an instant delivery service in the UAE as it looks to make online shopping for essential items more convenient.
Amazon Now is the e-commerce giant’s quick delivery service and promises to bring thousands of essential products to your doorstep within minutes.
Exclusively for Prime members, the service is being introduced to a wider range of areas.
Amazon Now in the UAE
According to the Amazon website in the UAE shoppers will enjoy: “Free delivery within minutes is included with Prime membership. Entire delivery will be waived for orders more than AED25 ($6.8)”.
A post on the retailer’s website says Amazon Now will be available seven days a week from 7am to midnight. Initial locations in Dubai will be:
- Jumeirah Beach Residence
- Dubai Marina
- Dubai Silicon Oasis
- Jumeirah Lakes Towers
Despite the limited locations, Amazon is looking to introduce the instant delivery service to more locations in Dubai.
It said: “Currently, Amazon Now is available in certain areas. We are working hard to bring it to more places. Once you sign into your account and select your delivery address, you should see if the services is available in your area or not by visiting the Amazon Now store. Sign up to get notified when we expand to more places”.
Categories available for the delivery-in-minutes service include common household and grocery items, including dairy, meat and fish, breakfast cereals, pharmacy, snacks, cleaning supplies and ready meals.
