UAE petrol prices slashed in November 2025

Petrol prices fell for all categories, following a period of relatively stable prices.

Despite fluctuating prices throughout the year, it is now slightly cheaper to fill up a tank than year ago, with all categories becoming less affordable than they were 12 months ago.

In November 2024, E-Plus 91 was priced at AED2.55 a litre, while diesel was set at AED2.67 a litre.

On current prices, E-Plus 91 is marginally cheaper (at AED2.44 a litre) than at this time last year.

Special 95 and Super 98 are also less expensive now than a year ago, falling from AED2.63 to AED2.51 a litre and AED2.74 to 2.63 a litre respectively.

From November 1, the cost of filling up vehicles in the UAE will be:

• E-Plus: AED2.44 a litre from AED2.58 in October
• Special 95: AED2.51 a litre from AED2.66 in October
• Super 98: AED2.63 a litre from AED2.77 in October
• Diesel: AED2.67 a litre from AED2.71 in October

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Fuel Price Committee froze petrol prices in the UAE, preventing any changes.

However, in March 2021, the government lifted the controls as global oil prices began to rise, allowing market forces to determine petrol prices once again.

Moreover, changes in crude oil prices worldwide also influence the fluctuation in petrol prices.
