The new app allows for the easy creation of personalised videos and connections with audience
Facebook has unveiled new tools designed to help Arab content creators optimize their content and drive engagement with followers, the company announced on Sunday.
Among the tools is a new “Facebook Creator” app which allows content products to create new videos and personalised live broadcasts, and connect with their followers. The app gives users exclusive effects and graphic frames, along with metrics and analytics tools.
The app is available on iOS, with Facebook noting that it will be rolled out on Android “in the coming months”.
Additionally, Facebook has launched a “Facebook for Creators” website, which offers resources and tips on how to create videos, connect with audiences, and grow ion the social media platform. According to the company, the dedicated website is designed to enable creators to learn new skills and find answers to common creator-specific questions.
Facebook’s announcement came at VIDXB, the region’s first gathering dedicated to online video creation.
"The great content being created and shared on Facebook is bringing together people from the region and around the world,” said Sara Abu Zahra, head of strategic media partnerships for entertainment, MENA and Turkey. “These individuals are using the platform in a fundamentally different way than others, and that is why we are excited to launch these new products just for them.”
“Creators are integral to Facebook – especially in the MENA region, where online video consumption is at an all-time high,” she added. “Our new tools aim to support the burgeoning social media stars and creators’ community as they take their content to the next level, and we can’t wait to see what’s next in video storytelling for the region.”
Facebook also announced new updates for content creators globally, including ‘Sound Collection’, which gives creators access to high-quality audio tracks and sound effects, as well as the 360 Community Page, an online hub for 360-degree production resources. For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
