The new board of directors of Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) includes Soud Ba’alawy, executive chairman of Dubai Group, according to a statement posted on the Abu Dhabi bourse website on Sunday.
Chairman Mohammed Hassan Omran retained his post, according to the statement which named the board members appointed by the UAE government.
Ba’alawy is also chairman of Dubai International Financial Exchange and vice chairman of Borse Dubai, a holding company which has majority ownership in DIFX. (Reuters)
