Canon has appointed printer and scanner reseller Graphic International Center (GIC) to cover the UAE market.
Under the terms of the agreement, GIC will sell Canon’s range of graphic art and computer aided design (CAD) printers in the emirates. The pair struck up a deal at the recent Sign and Graphics 2007 imaging and printing exhibition in Dubai.
The deal with GIC marks the first major reseller signing made by recently appointed Canon distributor GIBCA. The company now sits alongside longstanding Canon distributor National Store as a direct sales operator in the UAE, supplying business products to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), enterprises and Canon resellers.
“With the advertising industry in the region witnessing steady growth in recent years owing to increased spending on advertising and publicity by companies to gain greater brand visibility and market share, the demand for our services and products has increased correspondingly,” said Paresh Patel, GIC director.
