GlobalData Plc, a leading intelligence company headquartered in London, announced a knowledge partnership with the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Global), an investment platform based in the Middle East.

The partnership will see the creation of a series of dynamic workshops, panel discussions and a special Middle East and Africa-focused FDI report to be launched during AIM Global.

The platform’s this year’s annual investment meet is slated to be held in Abu Dhabi on May 8-10, and is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.

The event is expected to see the participation of over 600 high-level speakers in more than 160 dialogue sessions.

GlobalData will work together with AIM Global in developing its agenda and conference topics and will extend invitations to distinguished speakers and business influencers from the GlobalData network to enrich AIM Global’s audience with insightful discussions.

As part of the agreement, Glenn Barklie, chief economist of FDI, GlobalData, will launch a Middle East and Africa FDI Annual Report, based on London-based firm’s 2022 fdi greenfield projects data, macro-economic, industry and companies insights.

GlobalData will also support AIM Global with judging and data insights for the AIM Global 2023 investment awards and supporting marketing outreach to targeted business leaders throughout its network of 30-plus B2B websites, including Investment Monitor.

Eleanor Slinger, Regional Director of Investment Monitor, an FDI website owned by GlobalData, said contributing vital insights and sharing key trends in FDI and macro-economic intelligence is key to ensuring investment promotion agencies (IPAs) and governments remain competitive and stay ahead of the innovation curve.

“AIM Global 2023 is a truly global event well attended by IPAs, investors, and companies who we look forward to meeting. In an increasingly competitive global investment landscape, using the latest insights and innovative digital tools is the smarter way to ensure sustained economic growth,” he said.
