The firm said that customers, business partners and university students will all benefit from the launch of the SOA (service-oriented architecture) leadership centre in the UAE – one of eight such centres being planning around the world.
In addition to the proposed Dubai SOA centre, Big Blue has also confirmed that it will open a facility in La Gaude, France, with further centres expected to open in Asia, North America, South America and Northern Europe.
“Opening these centres is a direct response to what our customers are demanding,” said Jason Weisser, chief technology officer of SOA advance technology at IBM.
“IBM has helped thousands of early SOA adopters successfully solve some of today’s most challenging business problems using SOA,” he added.
Each centre will be staffed by IBM SOA experts and will focus on three core areas: SOA education and training; SOA implementation support; and SOA exhibitions and demonstrations.
