UAE-based Khazna Data Centres has on-boarded MGX and Silver Lake as new minority shareholders.

The shareholding shuffling will see existing investor telecom operator e& exiting from the company, Khazna said.

The UAE telecom major, however, will remain a key business partner of Khazna, it said.

Khazna welcomes new investors

MGX and Silver Lake will remain along with G42, the data centre major’s majority shareholder.

Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna Data Centres, said the company’s ambition is to enable the growth of artificial intelligence and digital economies by delivering data centres that are designed to handle the high-density computing requirements essential for the applications powering the future economy.

He said: “With G42, and now the additional support of MGX and Silver Lake, two leading global investors, we are well-positioned to accelerate our global expansion plans and enhance our AI-optimized capabilities for a new, digitized world”.

The company said e& played a critical role in its success to date and will continue to collaborate with it in delivering AI-grade connectivity and advanced digital infrastructure solutions.

This new shareholding marks an exciting new chapter for the tech firm, further strengthening its position as one of the fastest-growing networks of hyperscale data centres in the world.
