Saudi Arabia ranked first in the world in the Government Strategy Index for Artificial Intelligence (AI) – one of the indicators of the global classification of AI compiled by Tortoise Intelligence.
Germany came second and China third in this indicator.
Tortoise Intelligence, a global company with an advisory board of AI experts from around the world, measures more than 60 countries in the world.
The global index for AI measures more than 100 criteria within seven indicators: government strategy, research and development, competencies, infrastructure, operational environment, and trade.
Saudi Arabia excels in AI strategy
Saudi Arabia won first place in the government strategy index, and 31st place in the total indicators of the issued classification, SPA reported.
Saudi Arabia achieved 100 percent in the index criteria, the most prominent of which is the existence of a national strategy dedicated and approved for AI, the presence of a government agency, the existence of financing and budget and the setting and follow-up of national targets for artificial intelligence.
The kingdom has established the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence “SADAIA” to be the national reference in everything related to AI in terms of organization, development and dealing.
