Saudi Arabia’s NEOM and Geospatial Authority partner to enhance technical cooperation

The two sides are also to discuss future opportunities for investment, business development and innovation for the sector

Saudi Arabia’s NEOM announced signing an agreement with the country’s General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information for cooperation in technical and technological solutions in the management of administrative cities.

The agreement envisages the two cooperate in a range of geospatial infrastructure such as geodesy, marine survey, aerial surveying and photography, sensing, and geospatial data exchange.

The memorandum of cooperation is part of the joint strategic goals of the Authority and NEOM to develop work practices to improve means of interoperability and integration of digital systems and benefit from the geospatial data available in the national geospatial platform.

The two will also establish cooperation in the field of developing regulations, standards and executive methodologies for geospatial specialised work to meet the needs of the supervisory scope in NEOM.

They will also discuss future opportunities for investment, business development and innovation for the sector.

The memorandum stipulates the use of the services and products of the National Network of Continuous Monitoring Stations (KSA-CORS) and the use of the National Spatial Reference (SANSRS) in all surveying work at NEOM.
