Transport authority also says a further 24 routes will be improved from September 26
Dubai's transport authority said on Saturday that it will launch seven new bus routes, including two metro link bus routes, next week.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) also said in a statement that it will improve 24 other routes in Dubai from September 26.
"RTA is opting for broadening and improving the public bus network in a quick response to the needs of public bus riders. The move is also prompted by the ongoing urbanisation and business development in Dubai as part of the upswing seen by the UAE in various fields," said Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashimi, director of Planning and Business Development, Public Transport Agency, RTA.
"Seven new routes will be opened to serve metro and bus riders including two metro station link bus service, namely Route F19A and F19B. These two routes will serve the Business Bay district and pass through several hotspots in the area. The service will be running at a 10-minute interval on all weekdays except for Friday," he added.
