A Kuwait Airways aircraft damaged its engine blades after a bird strike during a take-off from Kuwait International.

The Aviation Herald website, which reports flight incidents, said the incident involved a Kuwait Airways A320 flight KU513 to Tehran Imam Khomeini International.

The flight crew checked the parameters following the bird strike and continued on its course to Tehran after no problems were detected.

The aircraft landed safely at Tehran International airport, but was stranded on the runway after a post flight inspection revealed damage to the engine fan blades, preventing crew from making the return flight.
