Afghan national carrier arrives at Al Ain airport

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) welcomed the arrival of Ariana Afghan Airlines, the national carrier of Afghanistan, to Al Ain International Airport, according to a company press release on Friday.

The weekly return service, from Kabul to Al Ain is now operating on Friday’s offering both business and economy class products.

ADAC’s first new airline partner of 2010, Ariana Afghan Airlines’ UAE Manager, Sayed Abdul Hadi Sayar said: “We are pleased to be adding another route to Ariana’s expanding network of destinations and, in particularly, to Al Ain where we hope to serve the significant Afghan community resident in the city, and the wider UAE.

“We believe the timing is right for us to introduce this new weekly service and we also hope this route further develops the already close ties and business links between our two countries.”

Al Ain International Airport General Manager, Faris Al Mazrouei, said: “ADAC is encouraged by both the enthusiasm and commitment expressed by Ariana to start their operation to Al Ain and cater to the clear demand that such a route will serve and develop. ADAC welcomes, and looks forward to working closely with, its latest airline partner.”
