Dubai ‘perfect choice’ for ride-hailing app Yango to set up global office

Yango, a technology company focused on global innovations, is set to open a new global operational office in Dubai Internet City (DIC) during the fourth quarter of 2023.

The office will oversee various services, including Yango ride-hailing, Yango Delivery, a last-mile delivery solution provider, and Yango Tech, which facilitates the transition to e-commerce for retailers.

This move represents a significant milestone for Yango, and the new office aims to encourage collaboration and innovation. Yango’s goal is to provide tailored solutions to its international clientele, spanning over 20 countries in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.

Yango’s presence in the emirate is expected to enrich the tech sector, empower local talent, foster innovation, and facilitate global knowledge exchange.

Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President – Commercial at TECOM Group, representing Dubai Internet City, signed an agreement to welcome Yango to the technology district. He highlighted the advantages of operating in thriving tech districts, such as Dubai Internet City, which offer collaboration opportunities with global peers and access to a skilled workforce.

“We are pleased to welcome Yango to leverage our district’s strengths to expand its operations, and will continue to align our efforts with strategic visions like Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ to champion exponential growth for our industry. Revolutionising urban transportation is essential to achieve global priorities such as reducing emissions and enhancing mobility options for millions around the world,” he said.

Adeniyi Adebayo, Chief Business Development Officer at Yango, praised Dubai’s progressive business environment, world-class infrastructure, and strategic location. He described Dubai Internet City as the “perfect choice” for Yango’s new global operational office.


Islam Abdul Karim, General Manager of Yango GCC, emphasised the company’s commitment to expanding its international footprint and introducing innovative technologies that enhance daily lives in the region and beyond.

Yango’s presence at GITEX Global 2023 underscores its commitment to bringing modern technologies to people worldwide.

They are currently working on an Arabic-speaking, AI-powered assistant called Yasmina, which offers more than basic tasks.

This innovative assistant is available for beta testing and being showcased at GITEX Global 2023, with Dubai Internet City as the Innovation Partner.
