Firm sees private jet charters increase in Mideast

International Air Charter expands Mideast fleet after bookings to region rise.

An independent private jet charter brokers has expanded its Middle Eastern fleet after seeing an increase in bookings to the region.

More European travelers coming to the UAE are choosing to travel by private charter jet according to a statement by International Air Charter (IAC).

Passengers were mainly rich investors who had bought properties in elite developments, who “prefer jet services as being more convenient, time-efficient and cost-effective,” the firm said.

“While commercial airlines are still convenient for long-haul flights, a growing number of elite clients are now looking for charter jet solutions for shorter local and regional flights within the Middle East or around Europe,” said Elie Abdo, managing partner – Middle East, International Air Charter. “Some of the popular Middle East destinations for our chartered flights include Sharm El Sheik, Marrakesh and the new emerging favoured destination of Essouira.”

IAC added that it had witnessed a similar trend in Europe, where it was receiving an increased number of reservations and repeat bookings for destinations like the Cote d’Azur in France, Palma in Spain, and Olbia in Sardinia.

IAC’s roster of aircrafts currently includes Piaggio, Premier, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream, Challenger, Dornier, Global Express, Boeing, VIP Airbus and VIP McDonnell Douglas.
