Qatar Airways has announced it will add three additional flights between Doha and Istanbul’s second largest airport, making the service daily.

The daily service to Sabiha Gkcen Airport will begin on October 26.

Qatar Airways already flies to Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport 10 times a week, as well as to the Turkish capital Ankara four times per week.

“Qatar Airways passengers looking to travel to Istanbul will have even more choice with further convenience and flexibility to their travel plans,” Qatar Airways group CEO Akbar Al Baker said in a statement.

“The extra flights will also be a great boost for the travelling public from Istanbul to cities around the world.”

The airline said the increased frequency was in response to Turkey’s tourism boom and Istanbul’s increasing role as a commercial hub, connecting Asia and Europe.
