Yemen Airways will resume its flights to the UAE from November 27, an official told local media.

Adel Salam, director of commercial planning at Yemen Airways, said the airline would relaunch flights to Dubai from Sayoon and Souktry airports from this Friday, according to Emirates247.

It was forced to halt services after war broke out in Yemen and months of fighting between Yemeni forces and Houthi rebels ensued.

It will initially run one flight per week, the newspaper said, adding that the insurance contract has been renewed so passengers will pay reduced insurance fees of $100 instead of $300.
