Dubai's first all-inclusive resort sees big rise in demand

Rixos The Palm Dubai reports 12% increase in guests opting for all-inclusive stay

Dubai's first all-inclusive resort sees big rise in demand

Rixos The Palm Dubai, the ultra all-inclusive concept on Palm Jumeirah, has announced a double-digit rise in guests choosing the "no extras" option

Since its launch in early 2016, Rixos The Palm said all-inclusive guests now made up almost a third (30 percent) of total occupancy with revenues rising to AED24 million.

That compares to 18 percent and AED14 million at the end of last year.

Rixos The Palm Dubai is the first luxury beach resort in Dubai to offer the all-inclusive concept which provides guests unlimited access to the resort’s food and drinks across all restaurants and bars throughout their stay at no additional cost.

Cenk Ünverdi, general manager of Rixos The Palm Dubai, said: “While the all-inclusive concept is popular in tourist destinations worldwide, it was relatively unknown in this part of the world, and we had anticipated the enormous success we have had.

"As a team we’re really excited to be the first resort in Dubai to offer such a unique concept which caters to individuals, couples and families alike reaffirming our commitment to providing world-class luxury hospitality.”

Master developer Nakheel is currently assessing 10 proposals for the construction of its new 800-room RIU beachfront resort at Deira Islands, which will offer an all-inclusive option.

The a joint venture between Nakheel and leading Spanish hospitality group RIU Hotels & Resorts is set for delivery in 2020, with a construction contract awarded by the end of 2017.
