Bahrain’s Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry has told hotel owners that there are plans to double the fees on hotel services next year.
Arabic daily Akhbar Al Khaleej reported that the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Al Zayani told the group of owners at a meeting this week that Bahrain plans to increase fees on hotel services from five percent to 10 percent from next January.
The meeting was held to discuss the role of the ministry in revitalising the tourism industry in the country.
