Dubai recorded more than 8 million overnight visitors during the first seven months of 2015, an increase of 9.3 percent, according to the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The total of 8.2 million includes all international overnight visitors and does not reflect hotel bookings.
Dubai’s hotel occupancy level has been slightly down, registering just below 80 percent, but remains among the highest in the world, as hundreds of new rooms become available each month.
Dubai has set a target of 20 million tourists by 2020.
