Flydubai will include meals and inflight entertainment in all Economy Class fares from November 2025, marking a major upgrade in its customer experience.
The move forms part of flydubai’s broader investment in product development and reflects its commitment to enhancing passenger value.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO at flydubai, said: “Redefining the Economy Class offering across all flights represents a significant evolution in our business model, offering customers a more elevated and convenient travel journey.
Economy Class upgrade
“Our focus remains on investing in enhancing our customer experience and delivering added value across every touchpoint through services, technologies and product development.
“By listening to customer feedback and responding to changing market dynamics, flydubai continues to strengthen its position as a key player in the UAE’s aviation sector and a vital contributor to Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for trade and tourism.”
In recent years, flydubai has made substantial investments across the passenger journey, including dedicated Business Class check-in area and new Business Class Lounge at Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) and upgraded onboard products and services.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, said: “Over the years, our agile business model has enabled us to adapt quickly to challenges and unlock new opportunities as we continue to evolve and grow.
“This announcement has come at the right time as we prepare to expand our network, continue to grow our fleet and welcome more passengers on board year after year.
“By including meals and inflight entertainment in every ticket, we’re modifying the Economy Class fare structure and ensuring passengers get more value, while remaining competitive.”
Flydubai meals
Passengers will be offered a selection of meals, snacks and beverages served throughout flights.
Menus will feature dishes inspired by flydubai’s destinations, with regional offerings drawn from African, European, Indian, Middle Eastern, Russian, and Southeast Asian cuisines.
The menu will vary depending on flight route and duration.

Inflight entertainment
Flydubai’s inflight entertainment system provides more than 1,000 films across Hollywood, Bollywood, Arabic and international titles, as well as TV shows from major studios such as HBO Max, BBC Kids, and Cartoon Network.
Travellers can also access interactive games, E-magazines, more than 700 music albums and podcasts, plus destination travel guides and live flight information.
Modernised fleet
flydubai’s fleet continues to grow in support of its expanding network and long-term strategy. The airline has received nine new aircraft this year, increasing its total to 95 Boeing 737s, with three more to be delivered by the end of 2025.
The carrier is also implementing a comprehensive retrofit programme across its next-generation Boeing 737-800 fleet, introducing lie-flat Business Class seats and new Economy Class designs.
Looking ahead, the arrival of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from 2027 will expand flydubai’s long-haul capabilities, allowing it to serve more destinations and offer greater comfort and capacity.
