Gulf Air offers grand F1 deals

With Bahrain Grand Prix ticket prices 15% higher than last year, the airline is offering cheap packages to the event.

Gulf Air has revealed a range of programmes and packages for motorsport enthusiasts keen to travel to this year’s Grand Prix in Bahrain, which will take place on April 13, 14 and 15.

With accommodation in Bahrain deemed pricey during the event, day packages are on offer with prices starting from AED 1750 per person for UAE residents for example.

The packages includes return economy airfares from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, entrance tickets to watch the race, a meet-and-greet service at Bahrain International Airport, coach transfers from the airport to Bahrain International Circuit and back, and a goodie bag containing cap, ear plugs and a water bottle cooler.

Other packages are also available for travel in business class and to watch the race from other vantage points at the circuit. These packages are exclusive to Gulf Air and according to the airline, “are the only way a person can purchase an all-inclusive package that takes care of everything”.

“The demand for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in the UAE is much better than expected and our prices this year are more attractive to tap into the most potential F1 market and one of the highest selling points in the region,” said Gulf Air General Manager United Arab Emirates Maen Abdulhalim.

“We sold several hundred packages last year and this year the packages are selling very very fast all across the seven emirates and we have put additional capacity from here specially for the main race day.”

The Bahrain Grand Prix is now in its fourth year and has seen huge investment from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air and other public and private companies.

“Nonetheless the return on that investment, the value of which is increased ten-fold by the commitment of the entire country, has been enormous,” explained Bahrain International Circuit marketing manager, Samer Al Shaikh.

“Tickets for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix have gone up 15% compared to last year. We are expecting a huge crowd to turnout to the event and our team is ready to welcome everyone to the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
