Inside the upcoming AED1bn Spanish-inspired Dubai World Islands luxury resort with coral reefs and snow plaza

The 150-key Marbella Resort Hotel is slated to open early 2026

The resort is scheduled to open in early 2025, adding to Dubai's luxury tourism offerings

Kleindienst Group has announced the launch of the Marbella Resort Hotel on Dubai’s World Islands by early 2026.

The AED1 billion project, part of IHG Hotels and Resorts’ Vignette Collection, aims to bring Spanish-inspired luxury to the UAE, the global conglomerate said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 150-key hotel features Andalusian architecture inspired by Spain’s Costa del Sol. It is surrounded by 500,000 square metres of coral reefs, comprising nine varieties and housing over 30 fish species. This allows guests to snorkel and dive directly from the hotel.

A kilometre-long “raining street” will provide cooling mist every few minutes. The resort also includes a snow plaza with an après-ski bar, offering a winter experience in the desert climate.

The property has six restaurants serving Spanish cuisine. These include Descanso with live cooking stations and Casa Bougainville offering tapas.

The resort will also include an Arabian Spa which provides wellness services, including traditional hammam treatments.

Sustainable Spanish luxury on World Islands

“We could not be prouder of this new project. The Marbella Resort Hotel, Vignette Collection is a testament to our commitment of delivering exceptional experiences that are also true to our commitment to sustainability,” said Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of Kleindienst Group.

“We envisioned a destination that provides a unique cultural escape with experiences that are authentically Spanish, right here in Dubai. We have been conscious of our commitment to making our projects environment friendly, with employment of solar power and adoption of policies aimed at zero discharge of microplastics. This is just the beginning of our journey to redefine regional hospitality standards.”

For investors, the project offers 8.33 percent annual returns guaranteed for 12 years, the firm said.

As the first Vignette Collection property on the World Islands, the Marbella Resort Hotel aims to set a new standard for luxury hospitality in Dubai. It combines Spanish design, innovative features, and sustainability initiatives.

The resort is scheduled to open in early 2026, adding to Dubai’s luxury tourism offerings. It represents a significant development for the Dubai World Islands project, showcasing the emirate’s continued expansion in high-end hospitality.
