New look for “Seychelles Islands”

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has revealed plans to launch a new-look logo and branding to showcase the highlights of the destination.

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has revealed plans to launch a new-look logo and branding to showcase the highlights of the destination.

The new brand features a colourful logo accompanied by the slogan “another world”, which STB hopes will convey the unique nature of the destination; an archipelago of around 115 granite and coral islands located in the Indian Ocean.

STB also plans to use “The Seychelles Islands” as opposed to simply “Seychelles”, on all international branding.

“Although ‘Seychelles’ is of course the official name of the country, we felt that using ‘The Seychelles Islands’ in our new campaign would be a great educational tool for our audiences, to reflect the reality that we have more than 100 different and diverse islands,” said Maurice Loustau-Lalanne, chairman and CEO of STB.

“This new brand truly reflects the diversity of Seychelles as the world’s only mid-ocean granitic islands and the range of great attractions and activities to see and experience here, in addition to the unmatched beauty of our beaches.”

The multi-coloured logo is intended to reflect the diversity of the Seychelles experience, featuring a plant/bird shaped image decorated in a spectrum of colours.
