YO! Sushi, the eclectic conveyor belt sushi restaurant, has opened a new branch in Dubai Festival City (DFC).
YO! features an ‘on-stage’ kitchen located in the centre of the restaurant, inside the conveyor belt area where the chef and his brigade cook and freshly prepare all 121 dishes from the menu, providing theatre for diners seated around the conveyor belt.
All dishes are colour coded, starting from AED 9 (US $2.50) up to AED 19 ($5.00) each. All fish is delivered daily from sustainable sources and is on the conveyor belt for a maximum of four hours.
Antonio Bautista, president of Gourmet Gulf Company, a regional restaurant holding group that owns and manages the YO! Sushi concept in the region, said: “YO! Sushi has experienced phenomenal success since we introduced the sushi on conveyor belt concept in Dubai two years ago. Such positive reception and its growing popularity is also a result of an appreciation of the healthy value of freshly prepared sushi.
