Dune, the joint venture between International Holding Company subsidiary Al Seer Marine and Damen International, is expanding to the commercial shipbuilding market and expects to produce over 26 UAE-built vessels next year.
The Abu Dhabi-based JV company, established in 2022, initially focused on naval shipbuilding.
The strategic move strengthens Dune’s position in the maritime industry. Apart from shipbuilding, the company offers a range of specialised services, including technical, operational, and commercial vessel management; new build project management; operational and financial business management; and international maritime business facilitation, including global sales and acquisitions of commercial and naval vessels from the UAE.

Dune will leverage the combined expertise and infrastructure of Al Seer Marine’s facility in Abu Dhabi and the existing presence of the Damen family via Albwardy Damen’s shipyards in Sharjah, Fujairah, and Dubai.
