Info2Cell builds functionality of SIM cards

Info2Cell's Bashar Dahabra has signed a deal with Bouefish Technologies that will drive development of SIM-based services in the Middle East.

Bluefish Technologies has announced that it will be working together with Info2Cell.com on the development of SIM based content solutions, targeted at the Middle East's GSM network operators.

Development will centre on SIM Toolkit, which uses SMS and WAP technologies to enable solutions that will allow network operators to differentiate their services and tailor them to suit the needs of the region's mobile subscribers. For example, operators will be able to create unique content packages that suit individual needs at different price points.

Development teams from both companies will work together and the first fruits of the alliance are expected early next year.

“Now and in the future, the winners in the wireless world will be those that can provide subscribers with the most compelling range of services on demand. Increasingly subscribers want to personalise the services they receive and this is achieved by tightly integrating content delivery over the air with the SIM card installed in the handset,” explained Mark Castle, business development director at Bluefish.

“Working with Bluefish will allow Info2Cell to offer new content capabilities for operators both here in the Middle East and elsewhere. This is a great move for both companies,” added Bashar Dahabra, CEO of Info2cell.
