Injazat to build advanced tier 4 data centre

Injazat Data Systems, the IT and business process outsourcing company, is building a tier 4 data centre, which is the highest performance rating a data centre’s infrastructure can currently attain.

Injazat Data Systems, the IT and business process outsourcing company, is building a tier 4 data centre, which is the highest performance rating a data centre’s infrastructure can currently attain.

The data centre to be located at Injazat’s new headquarters in Abu Dhabi will be the base for all Injazat’s IT infrastructure that supports clients’ services. It will also be available for clients who wish to have their mission critical systems managed in a highly secure, resilient environment.

“Critical business systems and data must be fully protected in a secure environment, and must also be readily accessible,” said Ibrahim Lari, CEO of Injazat Data Systems.

“Significant data loss can occur due to a number of factors such as system failure, system corruption or natural disasters. Delivering a capability to deal with such scenarios has therefore become a prime focus for the region’s organisations, and having in place such a tier 4 data centre facility is the most potent and cost-effective safeguard against loss of systems and data.”

Compared to other data centres a tier 4 centre has redundant capacity systems and multiple distribution paths simultaneously serving the site’s computer equipment. Also, all its IT equipment is dual powered and installed properly to be compatible with the topology of the site architecture.

“The automated data back-up processes that will be put in place, will reduce the need for human intervention and potential errors and will ensure that data remains protected throughout the back-up and recovery process, thereby resulting in significant cost and time savings for our clients,” Lari added.

The centre will provide clients with access through a fully-redundant IT infrastructure with 24x7 onsite security and technical support, in addition to a comprehensive range of value-added service offerings to address key IT-related tasks and ongoing activities. With 2,000sq.m of useable space, the data centre will be large enough to support up to 5,000 servers and associated infrastructure. The physical facilities and premises will be monitored round the clock by technology and professional staff.
