Injazat Data Systems signs outsourcing deal with KBR

Agreement to focus on providing range of outsourced services to government and military in the Gulf

Injazat Data Systems has signed an agreement with US engineering and construction giant KBR to provide combined outsourcing services to the region.

The partnership will focus on delivering high end solutions to government and military, primarily in areas such as government infrastructure, secure government, project management, logistics, IT technology services, military outsourcing, and consultancy. KBR, formerly part of Haliburton, is a major contractor to the US military around the world.

Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems said: “The Middle East is emerging as an international outsourcing hub, a trend that is being accelerated by the rapid development of the region's related infrastructures. Our alliance with KBR allows us to combine our extensive outsourcing experience and expertise with KBR’s global reputation and reach, so that we can more effectively meet the unique needs of the region's diverse and demanding outsourcing clients.”

Injazat Data Systems, a joint venture between investment group Mubadala and services company EDS, will also build a 6,600 square metre Tier IV data centre, the first facility of its kind outside of North America, to provide services to customers in the region.
