itp.net Top 100 goes live

Nominations open for online listing and directory of the leading IT companies in the Middle East

Nominations are now open for the itp.net Top 100, the definitive directory of the Middle East's leading IT companies.

A new initiative from itp.net, the Top 100 aims not just to recognize the technology companies that are leaders in their segments in the Middle East, but also to build into the definitive online directory of the region's IT market.

Throughout October and November, itp.net will be accepting nominations from companies through the dedicated website www.itp.net/top100. Companies will be able to nominate themselves in nine different categories, representing the major areas of focus of today's IT industry, including Business Applications, Enterprise Mobility, Data Centre Solutions, Networking, Office Productivity, Security, Storage, System Integrators and Telecoms & Service Providers.

Nominating companies will be asked to provide a detailed breakdown of their activities and investment in the Middle East, to give an in-depth insight into their operations in the region. This information along with a range of other company data and links to related information, will create a profile of the company online, which will be free to access, and hosted on itp.net for the whole of 2008.

At the end of November, the Top 100 will be announced online, with a top ten for each of the categories, and an overall top ten consisting of the most exceptional companies in the Middle East, as selected by the itp.net editorial team.

"The idea behind the Top 100 has been to use itp.net's position as the most respected IT portal in the region to communicate the achievements of those companies that have invested in this region," said David Westley, Editorial Director of ITP Digital.

"The Middle East has become one of the - if not the - most exciting markets to be in, in the world, and it is right that those companies who have driven it there should be recognised for doing so," he added.
