ITP has teamed up with Tech Data and Intel to host the Gitex 2001 Channel Forum. The Channel Forum is a four day event where vendors meet with channel partners to discuss industry related issues and opportunities.

Intel and Tech Data will support the forum through a number of activities aimed at building the knowledge base of attendees about technologies and emerging market trends.

“Along with the series of technology-focused seminars, Tech Data is bringing unique approaches to overcome channel-specific challenges,” said Steve Lockie, managing director of Tech Data.

More than 5000 vendors, resellers and IT professionals are expected to visit the forum during the course of Gitex. The Channel Forum is designed to create an area where visitors can network, conduct business away from the bedlam of Gitex’s shop floor and most of all learn.

“The Channel Forum is one of the region’s largest channel consortia,” added Gilbert Lacroix, managing director of Intel Middle East and North Africa Region.

“The Intel team is looking forward to meeting the channel, discussing the latest technological developments and exchanging valuable expertise and information.”

The Reseller Channel Forum is located in the foyer of Halls 1 & 2 and is held on Monday 15th October – Thursday 18th October 2001 during Gitex 2001.

“The highest value that the forum brings to us lies in being able to address the entire channel in the region,” said Lockie. “Participation in the forum is a primary approach for Tech Data to talk to communicate with the channel and bringing value to its members.”
