ITWorx gains fifth Microsoft competency

ITWorx recently marked a milestone achievement by earning the Microsoft Security Solutions Competency.

ITWorx recently marked a milestone achievement by earning the Microsoft Security Solutions Competency.

Microsoft awarded ITWorx this competency after recognising its proficiency in using Microsoft technologies to provide advanced security solutions to customers worldwide.

The Security Competency brings ITWorx to a total of five Microsoft competencies for the company, which is a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner.

“We are witnessing a considerable increase in the number of application-based security attacks which have far more serious implications on business continuity than network attacks,” said Ahmed Hossam, senior security consultant at Microsoft Egypt.

“There is no denying that having up-to-date application security systems in place is an absolute must to protect businesses against such real and serious threats.

“We recognise ITWorx as a Gold Certified Security Partner for demonstrating its expertise in the field of application-based security and providing customer satisfaction using Microsoft products and technology.”

Dr Tarek Nabhan, division manager at ITWorx, said: “We're proud to see our expertise in the field of application security services recognised by earning another Microsoft Competency. Receiving the Microsoft Security Competency further endorses our desire to innovate and offer our customers best of breed security technology solutions that meet and exceed their needs.”

To earn this competency award, ITWorx met conditions set by Microsoft which included successfully completing a number of application security implementations at enterprise level locally and worldwide. ITWorx has been involved with numerous project implementations across various public sector organisations including the Ministry of State for Administrative Development (MSAD) in Egypt.

“The MSAD worked with Microsoft and ITWorx across multiple projects to ensure software applications that run within the government system are highly secure,” said Dr Magdi Amer, project manager at MSAD.

“Due to ITWorx extensive experience and know-how in application security services and its track record in this specialization, critical governmental data is protected within completely secured applications,” concluded Amer.
