Ivory for Dubai, Vegas for Ajman, RCI for both

Vacation ownership behemoth RCI has announced several affiliation deals for UAE-based developments.

Vacation ownership behemoth RCI has announced several affiliation deals for UAE-based developments.

In Dubai, the company has signed up the Ivory Grand development, which will contribute 70 units to the timeshare market, with a further 150 one- and two-bedroom apartments earmarked for the short term rental market.

Ivory Grand is owned by Mohammed Ali Abdullah Al Shafar and Humaid Al Suwaidi Real Estate LLC.

Scheduled for completion late next year, the property is in the Al Barsha area of Dubai.

Group RCI managing director for the Middle East Nick Turner said the agreement demonstrated how affiliation could add value to a developer's project.

"With our regional network of customer service centers we offer the opportunity of distribution through a global network," he said.

Group RCI has also inked a deal with Dubai-based PKN Group for the planned Princess Resort in Ajman.

The resort has been designed to "embrace the glitz and glamour of a Las Vegas style experience", with entertainment, equestrian trails, palaces and "snow capped towers".

Once complete in 2010 the development will include almost 1600 one- to three-bedroom apartments, 100 villas and chalets, and two luxury hotels.
